Default Audix LX upgrade issue

On an Intuity Audix LX upgrade from 1.1 to 2.0, the system will come back up with all user passwords changed and not recoverable.

You will need to go in and change the passwords one-by-one before your users can even log in to change their passwords.

In our case, we set the passwords all to the same systemwide, using a password which was shorter than the minimum digits. The short password forced the users to change their password at first login. I then sent a blanket E-mail out with what the new password was. Far from ideal security-wise, but it prevented chaos this morning.

Their have been no PSN's or other documentation issued regarding this glitch. Tier 3 is aware of the problem, and it has been shipped upstairs to Product Development.

You might want to call before upgrading to see if there have been any developments which might help avoid this problem. You might also inquire about the two patches which you will need to install....

Default Intuity Audix LX Upgrade

Hi KCrosby,

When you upgraded the Intuity LX from 1.1 to 2.0 did you replace the server or did you upgrade the software only on the original (Tower) S3210?
I am doing a similar upgrade soon (Software, DVD & Memory only) - do you have a step by step procedure guide that you followed?

Thanks.

Hi guys did you get a solution to this as I had a lovely upgrade until my users started to log in and we all noticed this little issue? I thought I had missed something in the backup...

I believe that our BP set all passwords to a single digit and set the system for 4-digit minimum, forcing everybody to re-enter a password when they logged back into their mailbox.

Thanks Kcrosby, we have another coming up but they want to move from an old 3210 to a rack mount version. Is there an easy way to move the translations/greetings?
